Welcome to myWordPress!
I started out with goats in 2013; with a friend who had Nigerian dwarf milk goats, but he never milked them. I actually got more involved with the goats around 2019; because he never took care of them, they kept getting sick and dying. People often asked us why we had milk goats, if we never milked them; I sometimes wondered the same. In 2022; I started going my own direction, in the way of meat goats, but I wanted them to be dual purpose goats… even though I don’t plan to milk them either. I also wanted them to be more manageable size; not too big, not too small. A medium sized, dual purpose, meat, milk goat.
Now, in 2025; I have Sheep 🐏🐑🐑🐑🐑

Sheep are defiantly harder to keep alive than goats! Goats are more hardy and more parasite resistant than sheep. Goats are much easier to keep alive; that is, if you’re not neglectful. I’ve only lost one goat since I went on my own, but I lost 3 sheep in my 1st year; 2025. Not counting the lambs I lost to predators. I almost decided not to do sheep in 2026, but I’m going to try at least one more year.
You can find the sheep at Farm237.com
I’m doing SKigerians again now. I’m pretty much selling most all my miniNubian goats as milk goats. The F1 Skigerian males will be my meat goats. The F1’s and F2’s will be more of a dual purpose meat milk goat. F3’s and F4’s will be more milk goats; I’ll be selling all of the F3’s and F4’s, and maybe even some of the F1’s and F2’s after I have too many of them as well.
